Goodbye and thanks Kate

Kate is moving on to new challenges and all at RSC wish her every success in her future endeavours. Kate has been the General Manager of RSC since mid 2009. Her tenacity, and dedication to excellence during RSC's formative years has been a major factor in ensuring RSC is recognised as a world class facility.Even though Kate has handed over the running of the facility you may still bump into her from time to time helping out as a theatre nurse.
Kate will be handing over the General Manager role to Shelley Scott. Shelley's start date is 22nd July 2013. Kate will be helping Shelley settle in. It was pleasing to have had about 30 applicants for the GM position and many with solid credentials but Shelley's experience and excellent track record made her a clear first choice. Shelley's career started as a registered nurse. She spent much of the 1990's working in public and private hospitals in the Auckland region. Over the past decade, however, Shelley has been more involved in management roles. In particular, Shelley set up and then ran a very similar surgical facility to RSC in the south island from 2006 to 2011
